This paper presents and analyzes two medieval documents concerning a mid-fifteenth-century theft of silverware belonging to Duke Vlatko Kosača, with a particular emphasis on the identity of the individuals mentioned in these records. The point of departure is an article by Professor Marko Šunjić from 1963, in which information about this episode was first published, albeit in a fragmentary manner and without any broader analysis. The sources in question, which are still preserved today in a single box of the Korčula Municipality collection in the State Archives in Zadar, provide additional data on the incident, the stolen silver and gilt objects, their weight, workmanship, and the physical appearance of the perpetrator. The paper presents photographs, transcriptions, and translations of the documents, along with a brief analysis of the cultural and social context of the theft.
