This paper examines English job titles formed as noun combinations consisting of two, three and four nouns, with particular emphasis on their translation equivalents in Bosnian. The study is designed as a descriptive and pedagogically oriented analysis intended primarily for students and teachers of English. Its aim is to contribute to a better understanding of the structure of this type of compound noun and to improve its application in the teaching of morphology, translation and English for specific purposes. The paper follows Plag’s interpretation of compounds, according to which English compounds are not necessarily limited to two constituents, but may consist of three or more words and can be analysed in terms of binary structure (Plag, 2003, 2018). The corpus consists of 50 job titles collected from the British job-advertising platform Glassdoor UK in 2025. The analysis shows that English job titles often tend towards nominal compression, whereas Bosnian usually expresses the same meanings through noun phrases. The findings indicate that identifying the internal binary structure and the head of English compound nouns is essential for understanding their meaning and for forming adequate translation equivalents in Bosnian.
